The floor-standing centrifuges Sigma 8KS and Sigma 8KBS (blood bank variant) have a new look. A new, flat lid with a handy stainless-steel handle and an enlarged observation window for external speed checks clearly enhance the functionality and design of the centrifuge. In order to ensure an even higher level of comfort in terms of the operation of the centrifuge, the control unit has been shifted to the left, along with a cover holder located on the right-hand side of the centrifuge.
The centrifuge has an impressive capacity which is ideal for
production: The maximum capacity of the Sigma 8KS models goes from 6 x 1 litre with a fixed-angle rotor up to 12 x 1 litre, 6 x 1.5 litres or 12 blood bags (Sigma 8KBS) with a swing-out rotor.
The operation of the compact device with its excellent cooling is particularly easy thanks to the motorised lid lock which already complies with the upcoming anti-trap standard.
This powerful centrifuge has a low loading height and noise level during operation. In addition, its high energy efficiency is impressive.
The Sigma 8KS model is ideally suited to universal use in medical and research applications, while the Sigma 8KBS model is predestined for use in blood banks.
A new range of blood bag adapters has been developed and will complete the accessories portfolio of the Sigma 8KBS centrifuge as of spring 2017.
