Distribution Service Administrator

Salary £24,000 - £26,000

Full Time, Temporary position (6-8 months)

Based at SciQuip SY4 5NU (Hybrid remote)


We have a vacancy for a role within our Customer Service department for a Service Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing business and to work within a friendly and welcoming team.

Full training to be provided.

The successful candidate will be engaging and able to work both as a key member of the team as well as on their own initiative. The ideal candidate will possess the below skills:

-Good organisational and timekeeping skills

-Good telephone manner and customer engagement skills

-A responsible attitude and the ability to work within a team and to their own initiative

-The ability to understand and apply information relating to policies and procedures

-Strong written and oral communication skills

-Good attention to detail

-General IT skills. CRM and Sage 200 skills desirable but not essential


Some of the duties will include:

-Assist with customer queries via email and telephone.

-Liaise with customers and engineers to book service visits and emergency call outs

-Ensure relevant health and safety paperwork is complete for upcoming visits.

-Check engineer service reports and provide customers with calibration certificates.

-Provide pricing and quotations to customers for spare parts, service visits etc.

-Quote and manage service contracts. Ensure all visits are booked before expiry of contracts.

-Prepare contract renewal quotations before expiry is due

-Work with engineers and the suppliers to ensure warranty parts are returned for inspections and credits

-Liaise with customers and suppliers to diagnose and troubleshoot issues

-Follow up on service visits to ensure any relevant follow up quotations or visits are provided to customers

-Log and manage all service cases on CRM. Ensure log is up to date and accurate.

-Prepare and manage repairs of faulty units on site at SciQuip

Technical Administrator

Salary £23,000 - £25,000

Full Time, Permanent 

Based at SciQuip SY4 5NU (Hybrid remote)

We have a vacancy for a varied role within our Technical Team providing support for colleagues, customers and projects.

The role is equally suitable for experienced or newly qualified individuals alike. The successful candidate may possess some of the following although these are not essential as full training will be provided:

-Experience working within a scientific, clinical or lab environment

-Computer literate

-Excellent interpersonal/communication skills

-Interest in Life Science

-Attention to detail

-Self-motivated, proactive team player


The position involves interaction with all aspects of the business, working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams providing technical advice, quotations and support.
