The process is used for particularly fast and gentle evaporation, drying, cleaning and concentration of samples. Rotary vacuum concentration is an alternative to rotary evaporators, which use high temperatures and operate almost at normal pressure. By using vacuum, the sample boils at low temperatures and water or organic solvents can be evaporated gently. By rotating the sample as in a centrifuge, distortion of the boiling point is so effectively prevented that a lower pressure can be used. Temperature-sensitive samples can thus be evaporated to dryness without damage.
A special feature of the RVC 2-33 #CDplus with infrared heating is the selection of the alarm temperature. The product temperature can be used to draw conclusions about the end of drying: Once the medium has evaporated, the product sensor is no longer cooled. The process can be controlled by defining an alarm value.
