Bellco GBS 2000 Glass Ball Spinner Complete
The GBS2000 spinner flasks feature a specially formed bottom indent that aids in preventing the accumulation of microcarrier beads in the bottom of the vessel. The glass impeller shaft is attached to a vented fitting on the PTFE cap seal by a length of standard silicone tubing. This special venting prevents separation of the silicone tubing from the cap seal fitting during steam autoclaving. The glass ball houses a circular magnet that acts to gently agitate the microcarrier beads and to keep them in suspension to insure optimal growth of cell cultures.
